A Paintball Gun With Response Trigger Is A Force On The Field

Author: Terry Price

Tippmann's response trigger for the 98 Custom, A-5, and Pro-custom paintball guns will put you in control, allowing you to fire faster with little effort. The trigger is forced back to the starting position by the response trigger. When the gun is finished its firing cycle, it is ready to be fired again just by applying constant pressure to the trigger. Imagine eliminating trigger lag time? The response trigger will automatically push the trigger out and then your pressure immediately pulls it in again. What a fantastic concept! Regardless of what type of paintball gun or paintball equipment you choose, you know that it is important to find a gun that can fire fast and accurately!

Depending on where you play and compete, different fields have different sets of rules, and one benefit of the response trigger is that it might be allowed on fields where fully-automatic settings on electronic triggers are not allowed. Think of the competitive advantage this paintball gun feature can offer you. You will be able to compete with the more expensive paintball guns.

There is one drawback with this type of response-trigger system. Other than its distinct noise signature, it is fed it's air pressure by tubes that run on the outside of the gun. Occasionally, these tubes may get snagged or pulled loose. Few owners, however, have found this to be a problem, and the response trigger is a tremendous, high-quality upgrade for your Tippmann paintball gun. It operates by siphoning some of the gas off when the gun fires and redirects it to a piston that is behind the trigger. When you're firing your paintball gun, gas pressure pushes the piston out and forces the trigger to go forward. When you've completed you're firing cycle at this point in time, there's no pressure on the piston and the trigger can be pulled again. You can control the flow of air to the piston by an adjustable valve on the side of the paintball gun. You can regulate how fast the trigger may be pulled by adjusting the valve either way. With the valve adjusted properly, the response trigger is capable of giving you an awesome firing rate of around 13 paintballs per second! After all, being the most accurate and the swiftest on the field is the name of the game.
