Commercial Pressure Washers

Author: Richard Romando

Pressure washers, also called power washers, are heavy-duty cleaners. These use heavy water pressure and flow to get rid of dirt on all kinds of surfaces. They are especially suitable for cleaning stubborn stains, grime, grease and dirt that has stuck to the surface for a long time. Pressure washers have 25-100% more water pressure than garden hoses and use 80% less water comparatively. Commercial pressure washers may be electric, hydraulic, diesel-based or gasoline-based. They are also classified as hot or cold.

Pressure washers are a mainstay in industrial settings. They are especially used in automotive industries, construction, agricultural machinery plants and farm equipment industries. Food processing plants, and power washing plants also make use of this valuable tool. Commercial pressure washers are more powerful than the household variety since they need to be used more frequently, for longer times in all kinds of environments.

There are several kinds of commercial pressure washers in the market today. These are provided with different capacities of PSI (pounds per square inch), indicating water pressure, and GPM (gallons per minute), indicating water flow and horsepower. They range from 1000 PSI to 4000 PSI and 2 GPM to 11 GPM. They also vary on the basis of the voltage: 115, 208, 230, 460 or 575 volts and single or three-phase. They also vary broadly based on the prices. There are some pressure washers that are based on very advanced technologies, and which are placed in the high-end markets. Belt drive, direct drive, trailer mounted are some of the models of commercial power washers.

Commercial pressure washers are also available with several options and additional accessories like wash brushes, extension wands, foam applicators, wet sand blast kits, spray guns, chemical injectors, soap screens and more.

Commercial pressure washers are offered with reasonable warranties. They are generally available at most hardware stores. The Internet is also a good source for shopping for commercial pressure washers since there is wide variety of styles and prices offering different warranties and information about the product.
